Sucess Stories:

At YNOT our personalized service has proven to achieve success. With approximately 600 youth each year being referred, 50% become clients and 70% of those clients have been successful. Many have either gone back to school, got a job and/or reunited with their families.

Our After School program has helped more than 60 youth in 2015, with 88% of the youth reporting improved academic performance. At YNOT a new life begins that is full of hope, honesty and a solid direction to a new future.

The following are a few testimonials from students who have either mentored or taken our 'Defining Who You Are' counselling sessions:

Volunteer Student Mentors:

As an SSW student of Centennial College going for placement, I was nervous and anxious about what will be my experience but I was surprised that electing to do my placement at Youth Now on Track Services (YNOT) organization was the best decision I have ever made. They assisted me to develop my interpersonal skill in a practical way by allowing me to participate in their partnership meetings, visit and conducted me around various resources available in one of the Ontario’s court. I was given the opportunity to head a department called “Defining whom you are” where I created program and activities which helped our clients to improve their self-esteem, focus and learning to work as a team.

Finally, YNOT gave me the privilege to initiate and implement two workshop projects with my team during which I applied my community organization development technics like collaboration, listening, participation etc. My work with YNOT had given me the access to re-learn myself, identify my strengths and weaknesses, intersectional location and a jump start to my career.

Thank you YNOT President and Staff, Paul

“My name is Charlene. I am a proud volunteer of Youth Now on Track Services (YNOT). As a new immigrant in Canada, this organization has introduced me to many valuable persons in society. I got the opportunity to work with children and adults from different cultures, class and race.

This has been a hilarious and educational experience for me. Volunteerism can open doors to success which leads to happiness and I am honored to say I have earned this through YNOT by touching people lives; especially children."

"My name is Dale. Firstly, I want to thank Youth Now On Track Services (YNOT) for giving me the opportunity to share my experiences and life mistakes with the youth in the community through your programs and services.

Sharing my life mistakes and lessons I learn from them have helped, and encouraged me to make better decision in life after spending many years in prison.

It gives me joy sitting down with young people talking to them about my life experiences and supporting them to make better choices for themselves, especially when it comes to chosen friends, and listening to good advice."
